NeuLumEXTM (barium sulfate) suspension, 0.1% w/v is a low density barium sulfate suspension—an oral contrast agent for use in Multi-detector Computed Tomography (MDCT) and Computed Tomography (CT) studies of the GI tract.
- Minimizes X-ray attenuation, reducing isotope uptake artifacts in CT.
- Does not convert to glucose, so it does not interfere with the injection of glucose-based radioactive contrasts.
